ALOHA 'AINA NOMINATIONS - Why Dale?
In October, 2017, again in 2018, and in 2019 I received notifications from the Honolulu Board of Realtors which read in part: "Congratulations Dale. You have been nominated for the 2017 (2018) Aloha ‘Āina REALTOR® Awards Program™ which honors and publicly recognizes REALTORS® who excel in the real estate profession and provide exceptional service to their clients and colleagues. Nominations are only accepted from the public at large."
How'd this happen? I have the good fortune to benefit from 1) awesome, experienced mentors and colleagues who share freely of their expertise, 2) committed leadership that demands a culture of professionalism and service, and 3) clients satisfied with my counsel and advice who "write cool, compelling nominations." Sharing below, a portion of the Nominations submitted by my clients:
Nomination No. 1: Achieving Home Ownership requires courage, resolve and expert help at every turn. I am a disabled veteran who imposed additional requirements of residential building, location, and buying process accommodations. I have bought and sold homes in over ten states; however, I was woefully unprepared for the Hawai’i real estate market.
My Realtor, DALE W. LEE of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hawaii Realty guided me through the process with patience, sincerity, uncommon expertise and professionalism. He explained the intricacies of the Home Buying process in words, ways and in everyday language that I could understand, both general industry-wide and Hawai’i specific practices.
He consoled and settled me when “roadblocks” appeared. Most importantly, he offered recommendations and solutions as he listened to, and respected, my wants, thoughts and opinions. He was with me every step of the way. He would often say “Representing the interests of another is among life’s greatest privileges and responsibilities.” It is clear that for him these are not just words: he “walks the walk.”
Nomination No. 2: DALE W. LEE of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hawaii Realty made the process of buying my first home as stress-free as I could have ever imagined. The level of comfort, candor, and thoughtfulness combined with Dale’s accessibility, humor and diligence gave me confidence moving forward through the process with little worry. Dale left no stone unturned, and went above and beyond what I expected.
Nomination No. 3: Over the one year that Dale worked on my behalf to find my new home, he was the epitome of patence, persistence, and professionalism. Dale and I saw over a dozen properties and throughout that entire time, Dale was an absolute pleasure to work with. I couldn't imagine going through the process with anyone else. Dale stood by me and came up with proposals to address various issues. as they arose; I appreciated his creativity. I truly felt that Dale worked with my best interests at heart and wanted to find the absolute best property that suited me. I am so pleased to have finally realized my dream of home ownership. Dale was the only one who could have made that dream a reality.
Nomination No. 4: We knew nothing about buying a home and surely had no idea where to start. DALE W. LEE of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hawaii Realty guided us step by step from determining our price range to even after closing. He was like a father figure to us ... we had nothing when we closed but Dale offered to let us borrow a temporary bed so we could enjoy a night in our new home. We could not be happier with where we are and where we ended up. It was a long process. Indeed a roller coaster ride with ups (the excitement of making an offer) and its downs (finding that the sellers did not choose us) ... but through it all Dale never let us give up and continued to be patient, encouraged us to keep our heads up and reminded us that there would be something better ahead. Dale was right! We are so thankful to have him as our now, and forever, realtor and friend.
Nomination No. 5: DALE W. LEE of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hawaii Realty went above and beyond our expectations in assisting us to find our HOME. Dale was on-call nearly 24/7 with our questions, concerns, worries, wants, needs, etc. Dale learned early on the type of home that we were looking for and would be always on the lookout for us, despite us knowing he has many other clients to worry about. If we contacted Dale at midnight, expecting a response in the morning, we would often get a reply within minutes! Whenever we wanted to view a house, Dale made it happen the day-of. We were able to view houses efficiently because Dale was willing to take the time to show us any place we were interested in. Dale spent so much time on us and in helping us find a HOME that we get to wake up every morning happy to be in. Without him, I'm not sure we would be where we are today, literally.
Nomination No. 6: DALE W. LEE of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hawaii Realty is our realtor for life. He treated us like family during the entire process. As our budget and needs changed, Dale was patient, responsive and extremely knowledgeable about the Honolulu real estate market. He was available 7 days a week at all hours of the day to make our dream of owning our first home become reality. Our dream became Dale's dream and he worked tireless to make it happen. Dale went above and beyond our expectations and provided exceptional service. "...THAT'S Dale."
