LIFE PASSAGES
I've a life long love of baseball, thus, forgive the parallels that follow: All planning and best intentions aside, our lives serve up any number of pitches - some are anticipated and expected, and we're ready for them. Marriage, Relocation, the Birth of Children and Growing Families. On the other hand, some are unexpected, and do funny things, like seemingly dip and swerve and bounce in mid-air. They are called "curve balls" and trick pitches. When we're not ready for them, nonetheless, we have to stand in there and take our best swing. Some examples? Marriage, Relocation, the Birth of Children and Growing Families (surprise - sometime notanticipated or expected). Add to these, Marital Dissolution, Relocation, the Emergence of Children into Adulthood, Shrinking Families and "the Empty Nest."
Lo and behold, fast balls, curve balls, and trick pitches are all capable of being hit for Home Runs. Just gotta be prepared, ready and equipped, and have a someone who has your back, who is loyal and who you can trust and rely upon to be there. My own experience includes decades as a player, as a coach and as a fan/spectator. In each position, I have striven to be "that Guy." Making it through LIFE Passages takes courage, patience and confidence and "that Guy" who can help pull you through.
Allow me to be "that Guy" for you.
"... that's Dale."
